The Cider Sea

Sail into The Bay of Avalon, to the marinas at Cheddar and Glastonbury.

Use the M5 car ferry link between the Huntsworth and Mendip terminals.

Board the passenger ferry at Langport station, either to Bleadon for Bristol and the North,

or to Tone station for trains onwards to Devon and Cornwall.

Enjoy the piers at Bridgwater and Glastonbury and the many beaches and watersports.

The map should not be used for navigation as semi-submerged hazards like buildings and pylons are not shown.

Everyone has a different perspective on The Cider Sea.

The landscape that emerges is the same as when sea levels were higher before the last ice age.

The work stimulates discussions about the past, the future and everything in between.
